Time for an update...

Life has been good at the Bomgaars' residents...busy, but good.  Rocky is going to get his cast off early next week.  Can I say...YAY!!!  I am so excited for him to have 2 arms again and life can start to get back to normal.  I am doing "okay" with my own medical issues, but everyday I remind myself that things could always be so much worse.  I saw my doctor this week and she put me on even more medicine for my Lupus.  Now the count us up to 7 pills in the morning (5 different meds) and one at night.  I am a walking medicine cabinet!!  :)  I am feeling better, but I am still having symptoms that we need to monitor.  So it looks like all of 2008 is going to be filled with meds, specialists and 9 vial blood tests.  I can't wait for 2009!!

Rocky started a new job early this month and he is LOVING IT!!!  He is happier than I have seen him in a long time and now comes home and tells me about his day.  I have spent the last 5 years asking him how his day was and hearing him say things like "stupid" "mundane" "boring" "draining", but now he tells me about the things he accomplished and is doing tomorrow.  He is really happy and I hope that he can stay with this company for a very log time, because it will kill him to have to go back to his stupid, mundane, boring, draining old job!

Rocky and I celebrated Valentine's Day last saturday by having dinner at OC Mining Company over looking to best view in OC.  It is so cool!!!  No matter how many times we go there, I am still amazed by the view.  It just sparkles at night and looks so pretty!!!  Oh yeah...the food is good too!!!  It was really dark in the restaurant and really cold outside so we didn't get to take a picture while we were out, so Rocky decided to get out the tripod and play around at home.  Here are some of our goofy VD pics...aren't we cute?

In spite of all the stresses in your life, you two seem happier than ever. It seems like the challenges you have faced have brought you closer together, instead of driving you apart like so many other couples I have seen. You really seem like each other's strength.

7 meds!! That's crazy! As long s they are keeping you healthy. You are always in our prayers.

Rocky is so talented and amazing. Chad is constantly showing me the things Rocky has done and we are just blown away.
