One Crazy Week

This week has been filled with many ups and downs and I am very excited to relax and have some fun this weekend.  It started off with a bunch of doctors appointments and ended with a stomach ache.  On Monday, I saw the OB and the Rheumatologist which is always fun times.  The OB was worried about one of my DNA Lupus tests coming back high and wanted me to start Stress Testing 2 times a week to check Indy and make sure she is ok.  Before you get worried, Indy is doing fine and shows no signs of being stressed at all, but the doctors just want to make sure that she is progressing and that she is under no stress in the future.  It kind of makes me feel better to know that they are on top of things and ahead of the games.  Next, was my Rheumatologist appointment and she said that I am doing ok, but wanted to bump up my medication a little to help with some symptoms I am having and prevent a flare.  It is always hard to decided whether to take more medication and think how this is effecting Indy, but I have to remember that if my Lupus is under control and I am feeling better, then that makes a happy, healthier baby.  I would rather be on no medication at all, but right now I have to do what's best for me and her!!

While I was at the doctors, she had me take the lovely Glucose test that all pregnant women have to go though at about 26 weeks.  Let me just say what the stuff they give you to drink is horrible (especially when it is warm) and it makes you feel weird and want to throw up.  Plus it makes your glucose levels plummet after about 3 hours and you get all shaky and start to sweat...FUN TIMES!!!  To my surprise the test came back positive for possible Gestational Diabetes and I panicked!!!  Even though I know that pregnancy isn't all fun and games, I couldn't imagine going through the rest of my pregnancy not being able to eat certain things and taking my glucose levels every day.  Aren't you supposed to be able to eat the cake at your own shower???  Well, after taking the 3 hour long test to diagnose me, I passed with flying colors and I am proud to say that I do not have Gestational Diabetes!!!  YAH..I am so happy!!!

The rest of the weeks wasn't as bad.  I finished painting some pictures for Indy's room and Rock and I put up some shelves and decorations.  It looks so cute and I can't wait to finish everything.  Last night I had dinner with Rocky's family for his Grammie's birthday and that was lots of fun, but then the dreaded pregnant heartburn and upset stomach set in and made the rest of the night awful!!!  Today I am still feeling like of crappy and wish my stomach felt better, because this constant burning is killing me.  Right now I am washing Indy's clothes, since she has a BUNCH already and I haven't even had a shower yet.  I figure I will get started so I don't have 15 loads of laundry all at once.  I swear this kid has more stuff then any baby that isn't even here needs!!!  :)

Finally, we are here in California worried about our friends in Texas that are bracing for Hurricane Ike!!!  We talked to them today and they seem to be in good spirits, but any hurricane is scary.  This just confirms why we will not be moving to Texas anytime soon...Sorry Calders.  We wish for the best and hope to hear from you soon!!!

Here are some new Indiana pictures and a picture of me in all of my pregnant glory!!!

Finally...confirmation that she is a GIRL!!!
